Brett Allington started his career in the Shipwright Industry long before he began his apprenticeship. With personal interests in yachts and racing, over his teenage years he began restoration work on many of his own vessels.

At 16 years of age, Brett commenced his apprenticeship at "Blue Water Cruising Yachts" (BWCY) under the guidance of David Bradburn while learning skills and trade craft in a professional environment.

Brett gained expertise and experience by working as a team on a wide range of projects from cruising monohulls, catamarans, power catamarans, high speed tenders for luxury yachts, and refurbishments of second hand yachts, plus a number of diverse non boating projects.

This project continued to build on Brett's highly extensive skill set, including highly advanced construction materials and techniques requiring massive man hours and skills for the team to deliver a finely crafted, contemporary high-performance luxury sports cruising super-yacht.

After this experience, Brett was welcomed into "Coastal Shipwright Services" located at Marmong Marina and worked with this company for over two years. He began work as a valued tradesman of the shipwright field  and he worked on multiple repair and restoration jobs, taking on leadership roles of organising and offering guidance to other employees.
